On 5 February 2026, students from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) visit SMS to gain deeper insights into modified tapioca starch and its industrial applications.
During the visit, students learn about the full journey of tapioca starch from cassava root development to modification processes that enhance functionality for real-world applications across food and non food industries. The program also covers key aspects of the manufacturing process, providing practical exposure to how innovation is translated into commercial solutions.
Led by the SMS specialists, the students explore the SMS Innovation Center, where they observe product development driven by our expert R&D specialists and advanced technologies.
