SMS Joins Hands to Repurpose Used Calendars for the Visually Impaired

On March 10, 2025, SMS, together with safety, health and environment staff, donated 454 used calendars to The Educational Technology Center for the Blind in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi. The team also had the opportunity to visit the center and learn about the process of creating braille books and media tools for visually impaired individuals.

As part of SMS’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainability, this initiative highlights the importance of resourcefulness and environmental stewardship. By repurposing old calendars into braille books, this effort not only provides essential learning materials for the blind community but also contributes to waste reduction. In total, this initiative helps lower the carbon footprint by 570 kgCO2eq—demonstrating how small actions can collectively drive meaningful change.

Through collaboration and shared responsibility, SMS continues to foster a culture of sustainability and inclusivity, ensuring that our environmental efforts also create a positive social impact.
