SMS Marks Groundbreaking Ceremony for Upcoming Facility to Support the Growing of Tapioca Starch Market

On 10 June 2026, SMS proudly held a groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming production facility, marking another significant milestone in the company's commitment to innovation, capacity expansion, and the sustainable growth of the tapioca starch industry. 

The new facility is designed to strengthen SMS's manufacturing and innovation capabilities in supporting both food and non-food applications, enabling the company to better serve the rapidly growing demands of global markets. The investment reflects SMS’s long-term vision to enhance operational excellence, accelerate product development, and deliver innovative starch-based solutions that meet evolving industry needs. 

The ceremony was attended by the management teams of Poon Phol and SMS, including Mr. Danai-Thanit Bisalputra, Managing Director of Poon Phol; Dr. Werawat Lertwanawatana, Chief Executive Officer of SMS; and Mr. Nattachai Wanglee and Mr. Khem Wanglee, Managing Directors of SMS, as well as employees, who gathered to celebrate the beginning of this important project. The traditional piling ceremony symbolized a strong foundation for future growth and success.
