SMS Innovation Recognized: Dr. Jatesuda Receives Rising Star Award 2025

On 17–18 July, 2025, the Polymer Society of Thailand proudly presents the Rising Star Award 2025 to Dr. Jatesuda Jirawutthiwongchai during the 15th Polymer Conference of Thailand (PCT-15), held at the Amari Bangkok Hotel.

The Rising Star Award is a prestigious honor granted to researchers with exceptional academic and scientific contributions that are recognized both nationally and internationally. Dr. Jatesuda is recognized for her outstanding work in tapioca starch-based bioplastics and her growing influence in the field of sustainable polymer innovation. Her research has significantly advanced the development of materials that align with the transition toward a circular economy.

As part of the award recognition, Dr. Jatesuda is invited to deliver a featured presentation titled: “Turning Starch into Impact: Challenges and Opportunities in Advancing Circular Bioplastics.” Her talk explores the scientific and industrial challenges of utilizing starch and highlighted how innovation can unlock its full potential in replacing conventional plastics.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Jatesuda shared heartfelt words of gratitude:
