This special event celebrates and honores the unwavering dedication and hard work of the farmers who have partnered with SMS for many years. The day features engaging educational and interactive booths, designed to empower our farmers with valuable knowledge and practical skills, covering topics like waxy tapioca and CMD-resistant varieties.

Empowering Farmers: Knowledge, Resources, and Sustainable Growth

A key focus is empowering farmers with tangible support. Through dedicated booths, we provide invaluable free agricultural resources. This includes waxy cassava, a unique variety designed to help them achieve better income compared to traditional tapioca. Farmers also receive CMD-resistant varieties—Itti 1, Itti 2, and Itti 3—a vital solution to combat the spread of Cassava Mosaic Disease and ensure robust tapioca yields and production. Additionally, Napier grass, a nutritious and fast-growing forage crop, is distributed to enhance livestock feeding, further promoting self-sufficiency and circular farming practices.
