Driving Sustainability Together: SMS at the Global Cassava Sustainability Forum 2025

From 16 to 17, June 2025, SMS participates in the Global Cassava Sustainability Forum 2025 with Poonphol group delivering a keynote address titled ”The Future of the Cassava Starch Industry: Opportunities and Emerging Trends”, held at Pullman Bangkok King Power. 

The event, co-hosted by King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), aims to catalyze sustainable transformation in the global cassava industry through knowledge exchange, innovation sharing, and cross-sector partnerships.

The forum features valuable sessions from leading global organizations and academic institutions, covering all aspects of the cassava value chain under the shared goal of promoting long-term sustainability in the global cassava industry.

Dr. Kuakoon Piyschomkwan, Executive Vice President of Innovation and Biotechnology at Phoonphol Group, has shared a keynote titled “The Future of the Cassava Starch Industry: Opportunities and Emerging Trends.” Her talk spotlighted key global trends, innovation in cassava starch technology, and the opportunities needed to strengthen the industry's competitiveness on the global stage.
