SMS is a global leader of modified tapioca starch for use in various industries, including food, paper, adhesives, textiles, construction, health care, personal care, and bioplastic.
SMS has three modified starch
manufacturing facilities located in
throughout Thailand.
- Siam Modified Starch Co., Ltd. in Pathum Thani – opened in 1985
- Siam Quality Starch Co., Ltd. in Chaiyaphum – opened in 1993
- Siam Modified Starch Co., Ltd. in Buriram – opened in 2015
All three plants have a combined total production capacity of approximately 400,000 tons per year which is marketed under SMS Corporation Co., Ltd.
At SMS we prioritize technological research and development in search of novel ways to add value to tapioca which is one of Thailand’s most important revenue-generating crops. Our research and development efforts have resulted in a number of innovative starches that are widely recognized in the global market. Our innovative starches are utilized for an array of applications across a diverse set of industries, adding value to the raw agricultural products.
